Sale outside pharmacies and specialised retail stores

Pursuant to the Article 49 of the Medical Devices Act (Official Gazette, No. 76/13), the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED) has adopted a list of medical devices that may be sold out of pharmacies and specialised stores for retail of medical devices. According to the Article 47 of the Medical Devices Act, legal and natural persons engaged in the wholesale of medical devices from this list do not need to be entered into the registry of medical device wholesalers. Criteria for including the medical device to the list as well as other information related to obligations of legal and natural persons engaged in the wholesale of medical devices from this list can be found here (in Croatian).

  4. LUBRICANTS
  5. TABLETS FOR DENTURE CLEANING
  6. DENTURE ADHESIVE CREAMS
  7. BATCH PRODUCED READING GLASSES
  8. FIRST AID KIT (for cars, motorbikes, first aid cabinets and other aid kits for personal use that do not contain medicinal products)
  9. TOOTHPASTES which reduce sensibility of teeth to heat, cold and other pain stimulators by mechanically coating the dentin or closing the dentinal tubules with the use of mineral or other similar components
  10. SOLUTIONS AND GELS FOR RINSING AND MOISTENING ORAL CAVITY
  11. BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT PRODUCTS
  12. PASSIVE SPINE AND BACK MASSAGERS which help in reducing back and spinal pain - KOSMODISK and other products of similar design and purpose
  13. SPRAYS FOR SURFACE DESINFECTION OF SCRATCHES AND MINOR WOUNDS - HANSAPLAST and other products of similar design and purpose
  14. PRODUCTS FOR CORN, HARD SKIN AND NIPPLES TREATMENT which soften the surface layer of the skin mechanically or by other physical mechanism
  15. PRODUCTS FOR FUNGAL NAIL INFECTION TREATMENT which create unfavourable conditions for growth and spreading of fungal infection
  16. PREGNANCY HOME TEST - "in vitro" diagnostic medical device for self-testing
  17. OVULATION HOME TESTS OR SPERM CONCENTRATION HOME TESTS - "in vitro" diagnostic medical device for self-testing
  18. KINESIOLOGY TAPES
  19. SHAMPOOS, SPRAYS AND OTHER PRODUCTS FOR HEAD LICE REMOVAL mechanically, by suffocation or by dehydration of parasites
  20. COLD SORE PATCHES AND OTHER PRODUCTS FOR COLD SORE COVERING which provide only mechanical protection
  21. CREAMS AND OTHER COATINGS FOR SCARS AND STRETCH MARKS which provide mechanical protection and maintain the surface layer of the skin moistured
