Commendation ceremony to donators of the Museum for Medicine and Pharmacy

On Monday, 16th November 2015, in the Palace of Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences, letters of commendation were held over to donators of Croatian Museum of Medicine and Pharmacy, who contributed to the beginning of the work of the newest museum within the Academy.
The Head of the Croatian Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED), Viola Macolić Šarinić, MD, PhD, Assist. Prof., has recognised the exceptional role of the Museum in guarding the original material heritage presenting the development of medicine and pharmacy in Croatia, and HALMED has supported this valuable project.
On behalf of HALMED, the Commendation Letter was handed over to Adrijana Ilić Martinac, MPharm, MSc and Maja Lovrek, MPharm. The Commendation Letter is accessible here.
The Museum of Medicine and Pharmacy is established by Croatian Academy for Arts and Sciences with the aim to collecting, guarding, analysing and presenting Croatian medical and pharmaceutical heritage and it started to work in March 2015. It is a specialised museum with obligation to promote general aspects of medicine and public health and the Academy’s mission in the Croatian society, or constructing the society of knowledge and science.
