Seminars, Workshops and Other Events

The Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of the Republic of Croatia organises lectures/seminars/workshops/conferences with the aim of informing and educating broader public about the most recent developments in the Agency's work and European and Croatian regulations governing the field of medicinal products and medical devices, which are instrumental for assurance of their quality, efficacy and safety.

Lectures are intended for healthcare professionals, representatives of manufacturers of medicinal products and/or medical devices, representatives of wholesalers and retailers of medicinal products and/or medical devices, as well as for other interested parties to whom such new information may be of assistance in their work.

Lectures will be given by prominent experts from national regulatory bodies, generic and innovative industry and the academia.

The announcement of the conference/seminar contains programme, participation terms and conditions and registration method, while the overview accompanying a brief description of events also contains lecturers' summaries or complete presentations, speeches and photos from the conference/seminar.

Overview of the International Conference „Communicating the Risk in Pharmacovigilance-Are We Going in the Right Direction?“

On 1-2 October this year, in Hotel Kolovare in Zadar, a two-day international conference „Communicating the Risk in Pharmacovigilance-Are We Going in the Right Direction?“, co-organised by the Croatian Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (ALMP) and the Croatian Pharmaceutical Society (HFD) was held under the auspices of the Croatian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. This conference is the fifth professional conference on pharmacovigilance organised by the ALMP.

International Conference "Communicating the Risk in Pharmacovigilance: Are We Going in the Right Direction?"

International conference „Communicating the Risk in Pharmacovigilance: Are We Going in the Right Direction?“ will be organised by the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices and the Croatian Pharmaceutical Society.

Date and venue:
• October 1-2, 2009, Hotel Kolovare in Zadar

Whom is this conference intended for?
• persons responsible for pharmacovigilance on behalf of the marketing authorisation holders;
• expert assistants working for the marketing authorisation holders on medicines safety monitoring and pharmacovigilance related operations;
• managers and expert assistants for regulatory and medical operations of the marketing authorisation holders; and
• representatives of regulatory bodies.

Official language
• The official language of the conference is English (some of the conference workshops will be held in Croatian).

Speakers
Speakers are from the World Health Organisation’s Centre for Adverse Reactions Monitoring (UMC), competent institutions of the EU members, the ALMP, countries of the region and the pharmaceutical industry associations. Lectures will be given on the first conference day, whereas on the second day the ALMP staff and guests from the EMEA will hold workshops on new developments in pharmacovigilance (EudraVigilance, submission of the Periodic Safety Update Report for medicinal products and so on).

Overview of the International Conference on Harmonisation with the EU Medical Devices Legislation

On May 14-15, 2009, in Hotel Medena in Seget Donji, an International Conference on Harmonisation with the EU Medical Devices Legislation was jointly organised by the Croatian Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (ALMP), the Croatian Pharmaceutical Society (HFD) and the Embassy of the French Republic in Croatia. The conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Croatia as a follow up to the symposium on the Approval, Marketing and Surveillance of Medical Devices held on November 6, 2006 in Split.

Overview on the International Symposium on the Regional Regulatory Network

On 23-24 April 2009, an International Symposium on the Regional Regulatory Network was held in Priština's Grand Hotel, in organisation of the Kosovo Medicines Agency (Agjencioni i Kosovës për Produkte Medicinale, AKPM), Pharmaceutical Wholesalers Association (Shoqata e Distributorëve të Produkteve Medicinale dhe Farmaceutike të Kosovës), Pharmaceutical Association of Kosovo and the Pharmaceutical Department of the Medical School, under the auspices of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kosovo.

International Conference on Harmonisation with the EU Medical Devices Legislation

The Embassy of the French Republic in Croatia, the Croatian Pharmaceutical Society and the Croatian Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices organise an international conference on Harmonisation with the EU Medical Devices Legislation ("L’Harmonisation avec la législation européenne des dispositifs médicaux").

Overview of the Networking in Pharmaceutical Sciences Conference

In the GSK Research Center Zagreb, an international conference on the „Networking in Pharmaceutical Sciences“ was organised jointly by the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS) and the Croatian Pharmaceutical Society (CPhS). The event partners were the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (ALMP) and the Croatian Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (CARPC). The Conference was held under the auspices of the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports and the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Croatia.
